Personal bio
Scott Reilly
Builder. Problem solver. Lifelong learner. I blend technology, creativity, and practical execution to make useful things work.
What do I do?
I am a hands-on builder who spends a lot of time turning ideas into real systems, simplifying messy processes, and building tools that solve real problems for real people.
I move comfortably between code, hardware, media, and design. That includes building FastAPI and Nginx services, setting up smart home devices and automations, running livestreams and video pipelines, and designing web applications for family, community, and business use.
I do not chase trends. I focus on usefulness, control, and understanding how systems actually work under the hood.
Outside of technology, family matters a great deal. Much of what I build exists to support my family, creative projects, and community tools around events, scheduling, and media.
Platforms like YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, X, and Facebook are places where I document builds, share lessons learned, and help others avoid common dead ends.
At the core, I believe you should own your data, understand your tools, and never be locked into a system you cannot explain.
